Golden Gate Bridge in November

Very good to excellent. Early November often continues October's clear pattern. As the month progresses, winter storm systems begin moving through, bringing rain but also spectacular post-storm clarity. Fog is rare and short-lived. On dry days, visibility frequently exceeds 15 miles.

Any time on dry days. Avoid visiting during active rainstorms (check the forecast). Post-storm mornings — the day after a rain system passes — offer the best visibility of the year, with washed-clean air and vibrant colors.

Cooling temperatures (highs around 63°F), increasing rain, and fewer tourists. The holiday season begins — Thanksgiving week sees a moderate bump in visitors. Early November can still feel like fall; late November feels like winter. Sunset moves to around 5 PM, limiting afternoon visit windows.

Post-storm clarity produces exceptional images. The combination of dramatic winter clouds, clean air, and warm bridge colors creates standout photos.
